Deployment accompanies the 2026/4 update, scheduled for late 2026. The module targets a measurable workflow tax: time spent navigating fragmented fault-code indexes, OEM service bulletins, and known-issue repositories before a repair hypothesis can be formulated.
Data layer and sourcing
The assistant does not run on open corpus text. It indexes Bosch diagnostic data, formal repair instructions, and manufacturer-supplied service material, with direct connection to the Experience-Based Repair (EBR) knowledge base. EBR is the accumulated documentation of recurring fault resolutions across European and Asian vehicle lines — the background data that converts a fault code read into an actionable repair path.
Queries stay compact on the input side. A single fault code, a symptom string, or a handful of keywords. Output is structured: ranked diagnostic paths, candidate root causes, and direct pointers to applicable technical service bulletins. Follow-up queries execute mid-session without forcing the technician out of the active scan. No autonomous repair verdict is rendered at any stage of the pipeline — that step remains manual.
Operational scope
The assistant ships at no additional cost for ESI[tronic] Advanced and Master licence holders. Both tiers receive the module with the 2026/4 payload. The conversational layer accepts input in the technician's working language. Follow-up prompts run sequentially throughout the active diagnosis, allowing the operator to refine scope with each exchange.
The assistant accelerates retrieval. It does not substitute instrumented verification downstream. Voltage thresholds at the scan tool, CAN bus termination resistance, K-Line protocol states, high-voltage isolation on hybrid drivetrains, and ADAS calibration prerequisites remain manually confirmed before any component sign-off. Diagnostic endpoint authority stays with the technician at every step. As vehicles continue absorbing interconnected ECUs, secure gateways, and electrification-specific isolation procedures, the value proposition centres on compressing information access, not on replacing the verification chain.
