Owners of the ArtiDiag700, ArtiDiag800 BT 2, and ArtiDiag900 Lite now receive software updates for the supported life of the device at no additional cost, with the change effective August 18. For technicians maintaining European and Asian imports, the update pathway now carries equal weight to the cable itself in determining long-term tool value.
Update policy parameters
Two years of complimentary updates formed the prior baseline for the three listed models. The new policy removes the renewal fee entirely for current and future owners. Units already in service are brought to current revision by connecting to Wi-Fi and downloading the most recent software package from the home screen. New units ship with lifetime update access pre-enabled, requiring no separate activation step. According to the company, the upgrade makes it easier for customers to keep their tools current, capable, and ready to address evolving repair needs without additional update fees.
Effect on import diagnostics
Vehicle ECU firmware revisions continue to outpace factory service intervals across Asian and European lines.
