Mechanical and Drivetrain Faults
The Mercedes-Benz CLE presents a recurring transmission fault with repair costs starting near $1,000. The unit requires more frequent service than the segment average, and parts and labor rates on the brand sit above industry mean. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid compounds the equation: hybrid pack replacement runs $7,000 or higher once factory coverage on the high-voltage components is exhausted, while a parasitic drain traced to the low-voltage electrical system can require sensor replacement in the $300 to $500 range. On the Rivian, premature CV axle failure adds another $2,000 minimum to the ledger once the drivetrain warranty expires.
