The Honda subsystem advances to V49.90, bringing two functional updates. ECU modification routines receive a revision, and a new power transition history feature is introduced. The latter is the more diagnostically significant addition. Power transition logging captures state changes within the ECU's power management domain — data that older firmware did not expose at usable resolution. For intermittent no-start complaints, parasitic drain investigations, or unexplained wake/sleep cycling on the bus, this parameter provides a direct readout that previously required indirect inference through voltage drop measurements at the battery terminals.
Technicians running the update should confirm the installed version string reports V49.90 on the Honda tab post-flash.
